Looking for a unique engagement ring that is sure to please? Consider looking into antique estate jewelry for the special purchase. You can find amazing deals on hard to find rings at some estate sales. You can also find a rare piece of jewelry that is truly one of a kind.

A friend of mine recently got engaged and I have to admit that I was a little jealous of her aquamarine antique engagement ring. This unique piece was part of an antique estate jewelry sale that her very thoughtful husband-to-be attended with the purpose of making the very important purchase. The magnificent ring is a real show stopper and she accepted it with an emphatic, Yes!

The thoughtful gesture proves that her fianc had put a lot of time and effort into the purchase. Just about anyone can walk into a jewelry store and buy a ring but few take the time to search out just the right engagement ring from an antique estate jewelry sale. He attended several of these functions before finding the right engagement ring for his fiance.

Many people love the idea of a unique stone like the aquamarine but many of us believe that only a diamond will do for an engagement ring. There are more rings of this type to be found through antique estate jewelry sales than ones that have alternative stones. My friends eyes are the same green-blue hue as the stone in her ring. This makes the purchase personal and extra special. However, the choice would not be for everyone.

Much of the antique estate jewelry is typically sold for relatively little money. However, there are really outstanding items that yield a great deal of money. Some of the engagement rings can run cost upwards of 10,000 dollars so this is not really the penny pinchers way out of making a big purchase. In fact, you can often find comparable new rings for less money.

The quality may be lacking in some newer pieces if they are relatively cheap. Part of the expense of buying older objects is their superior quality. One thing is sure about antique estate jewelry; it has stood the test of time and this makes the older items a little more appealing than ones fresh out of the jewelers hands.

The message that antique gems convey is timelessness which is perfect for an occasion like an engagement.
